Text Messaging Program

2. How you opt in

Consent is given verbally, on a phone call with a member of our team, and only there. Giving us your phone number through a form on this site, or in the chat, does not enrol you in text messages; it is a number for us to call you back on. Your mobile number is collected on that call: the team member confirms the number you are calling from, or the number you gave us when you asked for a call back, before anything is sent to it. Before the first text is sent, the person you are speaking with will ask you this, in these words:

“Our privacy policy is at optimizeindex.com/privacy-policy and our terms are at optimizeindex.com/terms-of-service. Would you like OptimizeIndex to text you about your inquiry, quotes, scheduling and support? Up to 4 msgs a month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Texting is not required to work with us. Is that a yes, and what mobile number should we use?”

Saying yes to that question is your consent, and this is what it means:

If you say yes, we record the following so that your consent can be shown later:

• The mobile number, as confirmed on the call
• The date and time of the call
• The name of the team member who read the script
• That the customer said yes

You then receive one confirmation text, which reads:

OptimizeIndex: Thanks for agreeing to receive texts from us about your inquiry, quotes, scheduling and support. Msg frequency varies, up to 4 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

Texting is optional. Declining, or opting out later, changes nothing about the service you receive from us.

3. Message frequency and cost

Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month. Most people hear from us far less often than that, because we text when there is something specific to tell you: a quote is ready, a call is coming up, or a result has landed. Message and data rates may apply. Those rates are set by your mobile carrier, not by us, and mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any text from us. You will receive one message confirming that you are unsubscribed, and nothing after it. You can also opt out by emailing contact@optimizeindex.com or calling 202 810 7042, and we will do it for you. The confirmation reads:

OptimizeIndex: You are unsubscribed and will receive no further texts from us. Questions? Email contact@optimizeindex.com or call 202 810 7042.

5. How to get help

Reply HELP to any text from us, or contact us directly by email or phone. The automatic reply to HELP reads:

OptimizeIndex: For help, email contact@optimizeindex.com or call 202 810 7042. Msg frequency varies, up to 4 msgs/month. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.

6. Your mobile information

Mobile information, including SMS opt-in data and consent, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party other than Twilio, the messaging provider that delivers OptimizeIndex's texts on our behalf. How we handle the rest of what you give us is in the Privacy Policy, and the terms that apply to texting are in section 5 of the Terms of Service.
